We’ve been getting Wine Selectors boxes for several years now.
We are on plan were we get 6 bottles of wine every 6 months. I think we must be on an old plan though, ours is called the Showcase Half Dozen Red and it costs $95 per box.
Sometimes we also order a once off box. This review is of one of those once for boxes, it’s called the Sparkling to Savour 6 pack.
RRP $28 – This was out of stock on the Wine Selectors website. I found a similar one on the actucal wine makers website for $28.
What Wine selectors says – “Displaying the perfect combination of fruit and fizz, this regional Sparkling 6-pack is certainly something to savour this spring – yours for just $17.50 a bottle!
In this elegant collection, you’ll discover traditional blends of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Thorn-Clarke, Tulloch, Chain of Ponds and Cofield. Plus, you’ll love First Creek’s blend of Semillon Chardonnay and Stone Bridge’s unique straight Pinot Gris.
Sparkle through spring and save $26!”
How much does it cost?
This one off box cost $105 plus $19.95 shipping. So the total cost was $124.95.
The subscription usually costs us $98 plus shipping $15.96. So the total cost is $113.96.
Is it worth it?
It’s nice wine that is delivered to you without any hassle on your side. No need to wander around the liquor store. You just get a box of good wine delivered and your done.
PS – In case your follow my blog regularly. Yes, I am pregnant and no, I’m not drinking alcohol 😉 We will be setting this box aside for Christmas celebrations and I’ll just have to stick to the apple juice!
When I dug into the Summer 2017 Sanrio Small Gift Crate I squealed with delight… a Hello Kitty beach towel!! OMG – I was so excited and it comes with a matching beach towel and flip flops. Agghhhh…. This is the best box yet!!
So you know my thoughts. I loved it. Now let’s look at the goodies.
This is my favourite item. I really needed a new beach towel and this one is so cute and vibrant. I love it!
Sanrio Crate says – “Your Sanrio friends love the beach as much as you do, so why not take them along? This full-size, terrycloth beach towel features Hello Kitty, My Melody, Chococat, Keroppi and Tuxedosam enjoying the sand, surf and each other!”
This bag is super cute! I’ve popped the towel in, so you can see how roomy it is with the towel inside. It does smell a little plasticy though, but I’m sure that will go away with use. I can’t wait to use it when I take my little baby to swimming lessons in the future!
Sanrio Crate says – “Carry your gear to the beach, the pool or anywhere in Sanrio style. This sturdy vinyl tote features Hello Kitty, Keroppi, My Melody, Chococat and Tuxedosam enjoying a leisurely day in the water. Pair with your beach towel and flip flops for the perfect summer trio!”
Keroppi Flip Flops
Value – Guesstimation at $15 AUD. I couldn’t find any online at the moment, but I have brought Hello Kitty flip flops from Target before and I think that is about how much they cost…
Unfortunately I won’t be wearing these straight away as I have to wear my physio approved thongs due to being pregnant. Yes you scoff, but they make such a difference!! But once everything is back to normal I’ll be slipping on these cute flip flops.
Sanrio Crate says – “Complete your supercute Sanrio summer look with Keroppi! These warm-weather must-haves feature out fave frog floating happily in an inner tube and ready to accompany you in summer fun!
There was three cute little trinkets in this month’s box. I like that each month we are getting a key chain, as it is starting to make a sweet little collection.
Sanrio Trinket – Chococat
Value – Guesstimation $2
Sanrio Crate says – “Take a little bit of Sanrio with you wherever you go with this supercute beach ball trinket! (It also goes great with your crate that transforms into a sweet suitcase)!”
Hello Kitty Beach Figure
Value – Guesstimation $10
Sanrio Crate says – “This original collectible captures a perfect snapshot of summer fun – literally! Hello Kitty enjoys the sandy beach inside the translucent figure. It’s a supercute companion to the Hello Kitty figure from Sanrio Small Gift Crate #1 (Hello!)!”
You can check out my review of the Sanrio Small Gift Crate #1 to find out more about this previous Hello Kitty figure.
Sanrio Crate says – “Keroppi joins your growing Sanrio Small Gift Crate charm collection! Keroppi’s favourite pastimes include swimming, baseball and playing with boomerangs, which make him the perfect companion for summer fun.”
How much does it cost?
Loot Crate is an US based company that ships internationally. This box costs $66 AUD to ship to Australia.
Prices for other countries, including shipping (as of 23 September 2017) are:
This has been my favourite Sanrio Gift Crate box yet. I worked out the value to be just a nudge over $125 AUD dollars. So I’ve received about double the value for the spend 🙂
Who should subscribe to this box? Hello Kitty and Sanrio fans. This would make a great gift too!
The theme for the 2017 Christmas Box
The theme for next quarter is Sweet Dreams and it will feature Hello Kitty, My Melody, Chococat, Little Twin Stars, Keroppi and Pochacco.
I’m not too sure when this box ships. It says that orders close on 15 December. So I imagine it’s shipping late December. So I expect to receive the box in mid July.
For the theme ‘Sweet Dreams’ I hope to see a cute PJ top, slippers or an eye mask. I also wouldn’t mind a cute Hello Kitty pillow slip. What do you hope will be in the next Sanrio Gift Crate Box?
My necklace from Gem Box I wore it out to dinner on Saturday night and it was super fun to wear. You can win your own necklace from Gem Box by entering the Gem Box giveaway.
I have enjoyed all the treats in the NourishMeWell January Box, and I can see this box becoming a new favourite!

Was it worth it?
I loved this box. It has filled my week with joy, having lots of yummy and healthy treats to eat! Value wise, you get what you pay for and a little extra 🙂 The contents came to just over $41.
I’m excited by the video, it is very reminiscent of the marketing that Birchbox does in the US. The presenters did a good job but I’d like to see them show a bit more of their own personality and sparkle.
The wonderful team from Sending Love sent me the November 2015 box to review.
The theme for November was ‘traveller’.
Each month Sending Love promises to send you:
*an Australian made soap
*a lucky charm
*an Australian made candle
*plus 4 to 5 extra goodies.
The products
Please note that this did come with an information card describing each product, but I must have accidentally thrown it away as part of my post-Christmas clean up!
Skin Therapy Travel set (pack of 8) from the Reject Shop Value – $8 guesstimation
This goes quite well with the traveller theme. I’m also keen to use it as suggested on the Seduced by Beauty blog as a way to store sample sachets. That way I can get a few uses out of those sachet samples instead of them going to waste after I’ve used the sachet the first time.
Soap container from the Reject Shop
Value – $3 guesstimation
Always handy for travelling. The clasp is nice and firm, so it will last a while.
Toothbrush holder
Value – $2 guesstimation
The blue matches the make-up cases. I think that having matching items always make you feel more special.
Candle Value – $10 guesstimation
Nice smelling travel candle. Although personally I never travel with candles, but I can use this at home.
Makeup case
Value – $10 guesstimation
This was like one of those little Russian Dolls, you opened up each bag only to find another little bag inside. There’s five cases in total. This matches nicely with the blue toothbrush holder and orange soap, it makes a great little set.
I like the Tilley’s brand of soap. I received the lavender version in the September box and it’s nice to receive a tropical scent this time, going into Summer in Australia.
How much does it cost?
Sending Love costs $26.95 plus $9.95 postage per month, which is a total of $36.90 per month.
At the moment you can get $5 off your first month using the code Sending5.
You can also by a once off box as a gift.
Was it worth it?
I had to guess a few items but I come up with just over $35 value which is on par with the price you pay. This box definitely makes a nice gift and I would consider it for Mother’s Day.
Who should buy it?
Men who’d like to get a nice gift for their partner or mother but are terrible shoppers. Sending Love will do a great job at making you look thoughtful (not that you aren’t!) with a few taps on the keyboard.
