Wantable Intimates review – March 2015

Wantable Intimates review – March 2015

There are three different Wantable boxes that you can subscribe to – Accessories, Make-up or Intimates.

Wantable use a style quiz to determine what items to send you each month. This month I changed mine to include bras in the love category. My preferences for this box were set to:

Love – loungewear, leggings and bras
Like – lingerie, panties and socks
Dislike – tights/hoisery and shapewear

I also put in a special request for some MUK LUK Slipper Socks. My stylist Madeline was super nice and replied to my special request with the following:

‘Hi Prue! Thanks for the note. Unfortunately we don’t have any MukLuks left in stock, but I have included some other great pieces that I hope you love! Enjoy :)’

So what did I get?

The products

Real Underwear Fusion Bralette in Lipgloss
Sample value $26US

Wantable says – ‘From Real Underwear: The fusion bralette has a thin strip of micro elastic between layers of fabric, creating an ultra-comfortable seamless bra!’

This matches the singlet I received in my Wantable Intimates box last month. It feels nice on but isn’t really my style.

Black and Pink Work It Out Sports Bra by Rene Rofe
Sample value $9.95US (I found it on sale the RRP is $28)

Wantable says – ‘This bra features a racerback detail. it is soft and perfect for lounging in or working out in!’

Yay! I love comfy sports bras. It’s a fun colour too!

Bedhead Tie Dy Cami by Honeydew Intimates
Sample value $9 (on sale similar item in plain colour RRP is $20)

Wantable says – ‘From Honeydew: Our classic thin-strap tie dye top is so easy to wear alone or under anything for that layered look. Toss in some frosty-fresh tie-dye prints and you’ve got a must-have look!’

At first look I didn’t think this was really me but then I put it on and I love it. It’s so comfy and the colour brings out my tan and my eyes. Love it!

Third Love Mesh Plunge Bra
Sample value $39US

Wantable says – ‘This Mesh Plunge acts like a basic but walks on the wild side. Angled cups give a stunning natural lift, and the sexy lace details is a perfect touch.’

This one feels a little flimsy to me but I think that is how it’s supposed to feel. Light weight! It’s a nice basic bra with a fun pop of hot pink.

How much does it cost?

The first box costs $40 and then if you keep all the items in the box you get a $4 credit for next time. Making it $36.

I kept all my items from last month so I was billed  $36 for a monthly subscription and $10 for shipping to Australia.

TOTAL COST $46 US (on today’s dollar that makes it $62.88 Aussie dollars)

How long did it take to get to Australia?

My Wantable boxes always seem to take about two weeks to get here from the US.

Was it worth it?

Three out of four is pretty good. I’ll get good use out of the cami and two black bras. The purple bralette isn’t my style but I will give it a whirl and see how we go. Value wise I received over $80US worth of goods for a spend of $46US. So that’s pretty good. I do enjoy my Wantable Intimates boxes as it saves me time and money. My April box is probably already on it’s way but for May I think I’ll swap to the Accessories box. I love Spring accessories :-)

Wantable Intimates review – April 2015

There are five different Wantable boxes that you can subscribe to – Accessories, Make-up, Intimates, Fitness or Style. Note: the Fitness and Style subscriptions are currently only available in the US.

My Wantable Intimates box was a little hit and miss for me this month. I loved the cute pj set but I’m a bit over receiving items from the Real Underwear brand.

This month my preferences were set to:

Love – loungewear, leggings and bras
Like – lingerie, panties and socks
Dislike – tights/hoisery and shapewear

Products

Per Lei Lily Top in Pink
RRP $17 US

Wantable says – ‘From Per Lei: This ultra soft lace trim top pairs perfectly with the tap pant! This runs a bit snug so we sized you accordingly!’

This isn’t something that I would have picked for myself but I quite like it. I love matching sets, so the fact that it comes with matching shorts is awesome!

Per Lei Lily Tap Shorts in Pink
RRP $17 US

Wantable says – ‘From Per Lei: This adorable tap pant is the perfect match to the lace trim top. This runs a little small so we sized you accordingly!’

These are snug but cute. The fabric on both the shorts and the top is a little sheer but suitable for PJs.

Real Underwear Fusion Cami in Nude
RRP $28

Wantable says – ‘Beautiful seamless cami with Fusion technology from Real Underwear. This piece works great under anything!’

Ok, let me say that there is nothing wrong with this product. It’s just that I am over receiving items from Real Underwear. Last month I got a purple bralette, the month before a purple cami and the month before that a nude slip. So I will be giving Wantable that feedback 🙁

Was it worth it?

The first box costs $40 and then if you keep all the items in the box you get a $4 credit for next time. Making it $36.

I kept all my items from last month so I was billed  $36 for a monthly subscription and $10 for shipping to Australia.

TOTAL COST $46 US (on today’s dollar that makes it $58.80 Aussie dollars)

How long did it take to get to Australia?

My Wantable boxes always seem to take about two weeks to get here from the US.

Was it worth it?

Value wise I spent $46 US and received $62 US worth of items. Although I feel a little cheated receiving another Real Underwear item. I do love the pink matching PJ set though 🙂 I will be writing to Wantable to let them know I’m not happy with receiving so many items from Real Underwear! I’ll let you know what they say.

The products

Sparkling Grape Leggings by Nikibiki
Value $12US

Wantable says – ‘These leggings feature a wide waistband for all day comfort. They’re perfect for working out, lounging, or wearing with your favourite dresses and tunic style tops.’

At first glance I thought they were a nice colour but not really my thing. Then I put them on and I fell in love with them. They are soooo comfy and look super cute on. The thing to note is that the fabric is more like a stocking fabric. I was worried about putting a pull in it with my finger nails but it seemed quite durable. I couldn’t find this expect pair on the internet but they do have lots of cool ones for sale in other patterns. The plain ones start at $12 and the patterned ones up to $35.

Fusion Tank in Lipgloss by real Underwear
Value $32US

Wantable says – ‘This Fusion technology tank from Real Underwear is the perfect layering piece, and versatile too! Scoop neck on one side, v-neck on the other!

This is a nice soft and slinky feeling tank top in a great colour. It matches pretty well with the grape coloured leggings. I think it would also look great worn to work with a skirt and jacket set. I’ll be trying that with my grey skirt jacket set this week. It’s nice and silky so you could also wear it as a PJ top.

Teal Love Heart Romper by Dreamwave Pajama
Vakye $28US

Wantable says – ‘A fun and cozy romper, perfect for lounging. This Romper is perfect for lounging near a cozy fire with friends and family!’

OMG! I squeeled with delight when I saw this item. It’s a cute pj romper with love hearts. Awwww… How awesome. It has a soothing waffle (that’s what I think it’s called) texture to it.

How much does it cost?

Wantable has changed their billing system. The first box costs $40 and then if you keep all the items in the box you get a $4 credit for next time. Making it $36.

I kept all my items from last month so I was billed  $36 for a monthly subscription and $10 for shipping to Australia.

TOTAL COST $46 US (on today’s dollar that makes it $58.88 Aussie dollars)

How long did it take to get to Australia?

My Wantable boxes always seem to take about two weeks to get here from the US.

Was it worth it?

I really enjoyed the items in my Wantable Intimates box this month. Everything fit well, was comfy and easily fit into my wardrobe needs. I have changed my settings for next month so we will have to wait and see what I get different. I also put in a request for MUK LUK Sock Slippers. I’m interested to see how the request section works. If it works well I’m going to use it to request items that I need. Kinda like having your own personal shopper ;-)

Value wise this month I received $72 US or $92 Aussie dollars worth of goods. So money wise this is good value. Especially when I loved all the items!

Wantable Intimates review – January 2015

Wantable Intimates review – January 2015

Last week I received the Wantable Intimates January 2015 box.

Wantable has four different boxes you can order:

  • Intimates
  • Accessories
  • Makeup
  • Fitness (Fitness boxes are only available in the US)

The great thing about Wantable is that you can be very selective about the types of things you want to receive through their quiz. E.g. For the intimates box I have selected no hoisery as I rarely wear stockings.

For this box I really wanted lounge wear so I set my likes and dislikes to the following:

Love – Loungewear and leggings
Like – Panties and socks
Dislike – Lingerie, tights/hoisery, shapewear and bras

The products

Pajama Drama Tank with Lace Trim Coral
Value $21US

Wantable says – ‘This tank features a double scoop neck line with lace trim. It is comfortable and flowy, perfect for lounging around the house.’

This is my favourite item from this box. Perfect for wearing as a pj top or for chilling out at home. It is super comfy and has a happy vibe to it.

Daisy Fuentes Lounge Pant Black
Value $38US RRP (Currently on sale for $19.99 on Amazon)

Wantable says – ‘These pants are great for all occasions. You can dress them up or down. Not only are they cute but they are also very comfortable.’

These are so soft and comfy. At the moment the weather is hot in Australia but once it is cooler I’ll be wearing these for lounging around and also a spot of yoga!

Fusion Slip in Nude
Value $38US

Wantable says – ‘Fusion technology; a thin strip of micro elastic between layers of your favourite fabric, creating an ultra-comfortable long lasting seamless garment.’

I’m not sure about this one. Seems a bit grandma-ish to me.

How much does it cost?

Wantable costs $36 for a monthly subscription that you can cancel at anytime or $40 for a one off box. Shipping to Australia is $10.

TOTAL COST $46 US (on today’s dollar that makes it $59.26 Aussie dollars)

How long did it take to get to Australia?

My Wantable boxes always seem to take about two weeks to get here from the US.

Are these products available in Australia or through Australian suppliers?

These products weren’t easy to find online.

Was it worth it?

The total value of this box was $97 US ($124 Aussie dollars).

This box was just ok for me. I think if I didn’t get the slip and instead got something else quite cute than I would have been totally happy. I’ve updated my quiz today and I’ve asked if I could get some of those cool MUK LUK sock slippers. My February box has already shipped. So the updated quiz info would be reflected in my March box.

Wantable Intimates – December 2013 review

Wantable Intimates – December 2013 review

This was my second Wantable Intimates Box.  There are three different Wantable boxes that you can subscribe to – Accessories, Make-up or Intimates.

Wantable use a style quiz to determine what items to send you each month. My profile is set to the following:

Like – pretty & polished, fun & flirty, lounge wear, accessories, tanks, tights/leggings, panties, camis, soft bras, neutrals and brights.
Dislike – hoisery, socks and shapewear.

The box

The products

Tomato Racerback Tank by PACT
Valued at $28US

Wantable says – ‘From PACT: This relaxed fit tank is perfect for anytime anywhere. A modern fit and drapey soft fabric elevate this tank from sporty to sexy.’

This is a well made shirt with a soft fabric. It’s a longish cut so it looks better with jeans or leggings, although that could be just because I am short! Great for lounging or sleeping in. I also like that this brand is keen to make a difference by using organic cotton and giving back to the community through a community gardens scheme. I love brands that make me feel good!

Coobie Hipster in Black
Valued at $14

Wantable says – ‘From Coobie: A beautiful & very well made Lace Hipster, low to mid rise.’

This isn’t my style. I’m more of a Bonds girl. I would have preferred some cute boylegs from PACT.

Fleur’t Bralet in White
Valued at $36US

Wantable says – ‘From Fleur’t: This comfy, soft bralet is the perfect thing when you want a little coverage while lounging around the house. The lace trim makes it pretty too!’

I was disappointed to see this as I got one in black last month 🙁 I am not a fan, as I said last month I thought it was too skimpy and the lace was itchy. However the is available through ShopBop, so it must be popular?

Coobie Comfort Bra with Lace Trim in Windchime
Value $22US

Wantable says – ‘From Coobie: A stylish addition to the Coobie Seamless Bra line – The Coobie Comfort Bra with Lace Trim! This super comfortable bra features extra wide, fixed straps that are sure to please. Also has removable pads. Made of the same extremely comfortable, stretchy fabric as the Coobie Seamless Comfort Bra. High quality lace trim around the neck line and around the bottom of the band. Fits slightly “snugger” than the plain version.’

I received this bra in last month’s as well. Except last month I got the bright calypso organge, this month I got a more classic grey. This is quite comfy and good quality.

How much does it cost?

Wantable costs $36 for a monthly subscription that you can cancel at anytime or $40 for a one off box. Shipping to Australia is $9.

TOTAL COST $45 US (on today’s dollar that makes it $51.08 Aussie dollars)

How long did it take to get to Australia?

My Wantable boxes always seem to take about two weeks to get here from the US.

Are these products available in Australia or through Australian suppliers?

These products are all available online through various suppliers. Most do international shipping.

Was it worth it?

The total value of this box was $100 US ($113 Aussie dollars). So value wise it is quite good. This month, like last month, I only received two items that I really liked. The Coobie bra and the PACT tank top. As I’d rather get four items I love each month I wrote to Wantable for advice. They let me know that if there was any items I really did or did not want that I could email them and they would try their hardest to fulfill my wishes. So I am super excited for next time! Although I am skipping this month (January) as I had a bit of a budget blow out over christmas 🙁 Ops!
