Native Box review September 2013

The September Native Box is all about Spring – ‘a time for new beginnings, out with the old and in with the new!’ This is the last box of my three month subscription 🙁

 The products

Baby Organics Moisturiser and Body Cleanser
Sample size 2 x 5ml foil sachets
Sample value 0.40 cents

I’m not in need of baby moisturiser and cleanser but I figure that if it is gentle enough for a baby it will be fine to use on my skin. I used the moisturiser on my feet the other night. It seemed fairly gentle. I don’t have much experience with baby products though, so I am not too sure what I am looking for!

Morlife Goji Antiox Wholegrain Toasted Muesli
Sample size 60 grams
Sample value $1.50

I had my doubts about this one, I have found in previous goji products that too many goji berries is overpowering.  However the balance in this muesli was perfect. I really enjoyed it and felt filled with energy as I went about my morning.

Natralus NatraSan Instant Hand Sanitiser in Kakadu Plum and Vanilla
Sample size 28ml
Sample value $3.50

I love this product, the vanilla fragrance is delicious and the spray is really easy to use. I have stashed it at my work desk to use throughout the day.

Essentially Natural Soap in Ripple Raspberry
Sample size 100 grams
Sample value $5.95

Another great smelling product!

Wotnot Biodegradable Wipes
Sample size 20 wipes
Sample value $2.95

I haven’t used these yet. I am saving them for when I go on holidays next week. You always need wipes, when you travel! They’ll fit nicely into my handbag (please note that I carry a large handbag of the Mary Poppins variety).

Fresca Natural Hydraskin Elixir
Sample size 1ml approximately
Sample value $2.85

This stuff was good. I used it at night time and had enough product to do the backs of my hands and my face for four nights in a row. The product smells like a chamomile and lavender herbal tea, so it is quite relaxing. My skin definitely looked calmer and clearer while using this product. I also had a really great sleep each night! I was interested in purchasing it, but at $85 for a 30ml bottle I might have to think about it some more.

How much does it cost?

The price of Native Boxes has now gone up. I purchased 3 months for $59.85 in July. The new prices for September onwards are:

  • month to month subscriptions of Native Box will cost $24.95
  • 3 months subscriptions will cost $69.90
  • 12 month subscriptions will cost $259.20.

Where does it post to?

Native Box is an Australian based subscription that offers international shipping. Yippee!

Was it worth it?

This month I received 6 goodies with the total value of the box coming to $17.15.

At first I was a little disappointed when I opened my box. I felt like I didn’t get as many different things to try out this month. However after I had a play with the items, I became very happy. This month I had four favourite items – the hand sanitiser, raspberry soap, Hydraskin Elixir and toasted muesli were all excellent.
